Auto emergencies can happen anywhere and anytime. It’s important to be as prepared as possible. Here are some essentials for your trunk that will help you in an auto emergency.
First Aid Kit
#1 on this list is a first aid kit. Not just for minor cuts, abrasions and injuries, but in case you run into a more serious medical emergency in an area where emergency help may not be readily available when you need it. A good first aid kit should include, at the very least, bandages, gauze, antiseptic, scissors, tweezers, pain medication, compress, burn relief pads or ointments, eye pads and eye wash and latex gloves. If you have an allergy or other medical problem, it would be wise to include extra medication, antihistamine or other essential items.
Flashlight
If you are stuck somewhere at night, there will be no more useful tool than your handy flashlight. A good choice for flashlight is an LED based flashlight. An LED based flashlight will be more reliable than most other types. You may also consider a hand crank powered LED flashlight so you don’t need to worry about dead batteries.
Flares
A flare is essential if you are in an accident, run off the road or come upon an accident. Flares burning always means to slow down and watch out for something ahead. This will alert people of a problem ahead and make sure they don’t crash into the problem.
Jumper Cables
These are essential in case your battery runs out. You can get a jump from another vehicle and then be able to get to somewhere where they can check your battery out and replace it if necessary.
Food & Water
Have a gallon or two of clean water in your trunk, this is great for drinking or if your car should overheat. Some food is also a smart thing to have. Fill a sealable pouch or box with some nutrition or energy bars and other types of sealed and long lasting food. Check the expiration dates every once in a while to make sure the food is still safe to eat.
Blanket
A blanket is a handy thing to have for an accident victim to lay on and be more comfortable or if you get stuck in cold weather.
Gas Can
A gas can is essential if you run out of gas. It doesn’t need to be a large gas can either, a small one will work and carry enough gas to get you to a gas station. A small can is also much easier to carry, especially for women or older people.
Shovel
A shovel is essential since you might need to dig your way out of snow or mud.
Utility Tool
A utility tool would include screwdrivers, a knife and other handy tools should you need to make some small repair.
Crowbar
A crowbar would be handy to pry open a stuck door, window or fix a tire.
Cell Phone
Last but not least, a cell phone is certainly an essential. Being able to call for help just about anywhere is a truly miraculous thing. Don’t forget to get a hand crank or battery based charger for it, in case the battery runs out.

Under the comments of that video someone said you can make them with a coffee filter so I was wondering if someone could please explain how or something…

They probably cut the filter in a rectangle shape, put the tobacco in the middle, crease it long wise fold it over then take the 2 long wise ends and fold them over 1/8th of an inch, then they grab the 2 open ends bring them together and tie them.
