female severum has a black, almost dirt looking stuff on the top of her, i spose you might call it her back?
Its a 55gal tank with another male severum, an electric blue peacock, and an african knifefish(only maybe 5 inches)
The male is pretty protective of the female severum and occasionally nips her, but never does any damage.
I’ve had them for a while and have only had problems with ick when it comes to the 2 severums.
What could this black stuff be? I have some fungus eliminator pellets should i drop a few in?
O and i have a ug filter as well as a power filter and am pretty good with partial changes.
I have 2 other tanks if you guys think i should seperate the 2 severums.

Don’t just blindly use anti fungus on your fishes if you do not know the exact problem. It will do more harm than help. Better use some general tonic, that will do a broad spectrum benefit. Tetra has good general tonic. Also Sera.
