Hammocks: The Luxurious Outdoor Bed
A hammock is a suspended resting bed which is portable. It is usually suspended by tying to two fixed points. These days you can set up a hammock in your own backyard with the help of a stand. Resting in one of these is a wonderful experience as you can be in the midst of nature and sway in with wind. These originated in Europe and were initially used by the navy. They are available in different sizes and can easily accommodate two or more people. Though the most common one is a rope hammock, there are different styles available these days.
The main styles are as follows:
Cotton Rope Style:
These provide the ultimate comfort as they allow free air flow. They may not be the most durable but that doesn’t take away the fact that they are extremely comfortable. They are most popular and are quite affordable.
Silk Style:
Several types of fabrics are used in making hammocks. Parachute silk is one such fabric. This is quite strong and weather-resistant. These are stronger than the ones made of rope.
Quilted Style:
This is usually softer than the others available in the market. It is designed with two layers of polyester. The fabric is weather resistant due to the soft poly fiber fill between the two layers of fabric. It is just like a quilt and is extra warm.
Mayan Style:
This is the most luxuries of all. They are elegant and stylish. They are usually available in bright colors and shapes. Adding to the comfort of the thin fibers is the fact that they are not used with spreader bars. As a result, these take act like a cocoon to your body taking its shape. Many people who have enjoyed the comfort of the Mayan style have opted to use it as their primary bed.
These days hammocks are available with several accessories. Some of them are pillows, wheel kits, storage bags, and side tables. The stands that are available are also made of different materials. You can choose between a steel stand and a wooden one. Hammocks are made of fabrics that are usually easy to clean. They can be easily put in a washing machine. One essential fact that should be kept in mind while buying a hammock is the weight rating. If your weight does not match with the rating of the unit you are opting for, you should look for another one that will easily be adjustable to your weight. Accidents usually occur when one is not careful about the weight rating.

Is my umbrella tree dying, PLEASE HELP!?
The plant had aphids and i took care of it but ever since it seems to be dying. after it had aphids i repotted it but the roots had a soft black wet shell that came off. it attempting to cut some roots to help it grow i tried to pull it out of it’s pot but the roots ripped and all that was attached was no more than a basket ball size of root and dirt.any branches that had grown have turned from green to brown. it has no leaves except for one but that seems to be turning brown. the pot size is 24in round. please help this is my sickly mother’s plant and i don’t want to be responsible for killing it. PLEASE HELP!!!
you did the right thing. now do it again to get rid of the root rot. you may need new soil, get rid of all the black stuff, repot, cut back all the brown branches, and place in sun. water it daily for a week till it leafs out again
